What happens when I recall a book or DVD?

Every patron gets 3 weeks use of something they have checked out or until the due date, whichever is shorter. So if Amiee (patron) recalls a DVD from Ben (another patron) a DVD loan is only a week so Ben gets to use the DVD until the due date.
If an item is needed for reserve from a patron an administrative recall is placed and the patron is only guaranteed 1 week use or the due date, whichever is shorter.
