Does the library have copies of textbooks?
Answer
As a general rule, the library does not collect textbooks for courses currently being offered at the college.
Faculty are encouraged to place copies of textbooks or chapters from texts on reserve. If you’re not sure whether your professor has put your course’s textbook or other course materials on reserve, search the library under books (sign in-upper right hand corner) to see what is available.
Please note that, as academic libraries often do not purchase textbooks, they are not available for interlibrary loan.
The Ithaca College Store provides a rental service and sells textbooks. Try their How-To guide for help navigating textbook orders.
